CoolerMaster has launched their new aluminum gaming series mouse, a headphone and keyboard. On the review here is their aluminum plated headset – CM Storm Pulse-R.
Over the years, I have reviewed many CM headsets, and I have yet to find any headset I didn’t really like so I was a bit enthusiastic to hear this one.
The initial impression of this headset is that its well built with aluminum side panels (which are removable), LED lighting, detachable microphone and detachable cable. They also have a built-in volume control and mic volume control.
The 3m long braided cable does tangle a bit but is otherwise both long enough and looks strong enough to last a bit. It is thankfully user replaceable which is a big plus. The headset is circumaural, but they do press against your ears which can be a problem for a few. I found the headphones to be of average comfort though.
